What the Caballero Family is Saying about Zars & Rogers

“We had a great experience with Zars and Rogers.

We are new to the San Antonio area, and not only was their knowledge of the area helpful, but they went above and beyond to help us find a rental home that was just right for us, in a neighborhood that we love.

We will definitley be calling on them to help us again in a couple years when we are ready to buy.

They showed such patience with my pickiness in a rental home, I know I will need them to help me when we are ready to choose our permanent home!”

San Antonio Housing Market Statistics – August 2011

San Antonio Housing Market Statistics – August 2011

August is typically considered the last month of Summer, typically the hottest buying/selling season of the year…

We know that August 2011 was extremely HOT, temperature wise…but, how were home sale in  San Antonio in August 2011?

Well, there was a total of 1,771 home sales in the month of August, which is a 5.1 % increase from July 2011 and a 10 % increase when compared to August 2010.

In fact, our August Sales numbers are where they were back in 2008 & 2009.

Another interesting statistic about San Antonio’s housing market is that 68%  of all single-family home sales in August were priced below $200,000.

This is the reason we saw a decline it August 2011’s average ($188,485) and median ($153,200) home prices…down 6% and 5% respectively.

Even with this slight decline, our sales prices for August are still up around 2% from the beginning of 2011.

The fact is more homes were sold…which is positive for our market & shows that our market is strong & steady.  And, we are still showing much better sales numbers than most other markets nationally…many of which are still showing declining numbers.
